WINES & FIZZ

Blood, sweat and tears are the bi-products of hard work … laughter, blurred vision and a sore head are the bi-products of putting the perfect wine list together.

It was a dirty job but someone had to do it and that is exactly what we have done! We are very excited to be showcasing wines from the dizzy heights of the Chilean mountains to the artistically carved valleys of Barossa in Australia. From the famous Stellenbosch region of South Africa to the sophistication and elegance of the South of France.

And of course our list would not be complete without an offering of some of Spain’s best kept secrets. Dare to try something different with this list and you will be amazed at what the world has to offer! Disappointment is not an option!

SHERRY

Sherry is a fortified wine made from white grapes that are grown on the vast hills of Jerez in Andalucía, Southern Spain.  It is produced in a variety of styles using a unique distilling process called a Solero system and sherry types range from light versions similar to table wines to darker heavier versions that have been allowed to oxidise as they age in oak barrels. 12 Denmark Street is the birthplace of possibly THE world’s most famous sherry ‘Harveys Bristol Cream’ created by a famous family dynasty, the Harveys in 1796, who helped to change Bristol’s fortunes.

Let us introduce you to some of the delights of sherry through our inventive cocktail list, our Sherry & Tapas Tasting Menu or our Sherry Club and discover for yourself why this little treasure of the wine world has been around for such a very long time.
