If you like fresh, floral and aromatic wines, this is one for you. Abbotts & Delaunay wines are produced in the beautiful Aude region of the Languedoc, in the small town of Marseillette. The winery was founded in 1996 but it wasn’t until 2005 that the Delaunay family took over and brought with them a fresh identity. Now, the winery is big on sustainability and biodiversity, keeping the wines as pure as possible so that they carry a sense of place. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged on the lees for five months, this blend of Grenache Blanc and Vermentino is crisp and textured. Expect flavours of white flowers, mandarin, apricot, citrus, and a hint of aniseed. Enjoy chilled as an apéritif with asparagus risotto and light, creamy cheeses.
