Gérard Bertrand was a professional rugby player who, later in life, took over the family winemaking estate and is a pioneer in biodynamic and sustainable winemaking. He now manages several sites around the South of France, including Château L’Hospitalet – a truly unique location just 100 meters above the Mediterranean Sea, creating a natural amphitheatre where vines thrive under the influence of the sun, wind, and sea spray. A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, this deep red wine is aged for 12 months in 225-litre oak barrels for complexity and structure. The result is a powerful yet elegant wine with red fruits, vanilla, and spice. This wine will continue to develop for five to 10 years. Try with red meats and cheese.
