It fans out on the finish but with a sensuous swirl rather than flair. Pomelo pith. Richness but intellectual. Hint of borage in this as well and sheathed within the backbone is a cucumber coolness. Wirsching’s Silvaners really are unique wines in their own right, punching way above their price points. The Iphöfer Kronsberg is one of the top Franconian vineyards, a pure Keuper site facing south but cooler due to the air currents from the eastern forests. The Kronsberg wines are characterised by fine fruit, great harmony and elegance. Their Keuper soil is a sedimentary rock of clays, interspersed with fine and thicker veins of gypsum. Kueper wines have power and a full body, like the opulent wines from this region. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
